The only network to not break in on Sunday night to cover President Obama's Oval Office address about terrorism and the San Bernardino shootings was also the night's clear ratings winner.

Though it was down from last week's lofty highs, Sunday Night Football was again the decisive leader among the Big Four. Metered market ratings give it an average 12.2 overnight among households, while preliminary (non-time-zone-adjusted) tallies give NBC a primetime average of a 4.8 rating in the key demo.

CBS, Fox and ABC all cut in shortly after 8 p.m. E.T. to show Obama, but CBS was the only network to devote a full hour to his address. It averaged a 1.3 rating among adults 18-49 and 9.9  million viewers. 60 Minutes' regular hour, which also included some Obama coverage, a 1.2 the key demo. A Frank Sinatra tribute concert special pulled an average 0.8 rating in the key demo.

With football overrun, Fox's comedy block was up considerably — though the president's address means that preliminary scores for The Simpsons (3.0 adults), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2.0 adults), Family Guy (1.7 adults) and Last Man on Earth (1.4 adults) are all tentative.

ABC's own originals were also skewed, though Once Upon a Time, Blood and Oil and Quantico all look to be steady.
