TNT is bringing back two of its heavy hitters and saying goodbye to three others.

The Turner cable network has renewed Major Crimes and The Librarians and canceled Legends, Agent X and Public Morals, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. TNT also again confirmed the renewal of the more modest performer, Murder in the First.

Thirteen episodes have been ordered for Major Crimes' fifth season, while the network has ordered 10 episodes for the forthcoming third season of The Librarians, which is an extension of TNT's popular series of TV movies that starred Noah Wyle. Wyle now occasionally appears on the spinoff, which stars Rebecca Romijn.

In stark contrast, Legends, Agent X and Public Morals failed to make a splash despite their respective star power. Legends, starring Sean Bean and executive produced by Howard Gordon, was moved to Mondays for its sophomore season and underwent major creative retooling. The second-season premiere dropped sharply from the season-one finale to below one million viewers. 

The remaining new episodes of Legends and Agent X will air as planned.

The shakeup comes as TNT and TBS president Kevin Reilly begins to unveil his new network projects in 2016.
