'Suits': Mike Goes Behind Bars in Gripping New Promo (Exclusive Video)

Viewers knew that things were going to get a whole lot worse for Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) following August's shocking midseason finale, in which he was finally about to be arrested for fraud after five seasons. But they may not have bargained for the incredible force that is U.S. Attorney Anita Gibbs (Leslie Hope).

In an exclusive new promo, Anita promises that she will be the one to put Mike in jail in an eerie voiceover as the camera pans to images of Mike being booked.

“In case you think that your people are rushing down here to bail you out, you’ve got another thing coming,” she says in the video.

"Gibbs is a fascinating character because you want to take her for the villain in this story; she’s coming after these characters that hopefully by this point our fans know and love," Adams tells THR. "But at the same time she’s doing something in the right. Mike Ross and Harvey Specter have pulled the wool over the eyes of all the people that they’ve worked for."

As showrunner Aaron Korsh told THR back in August, the midseason premiere picks up immediately following events of the summer finale. With Mike in jail, not only is his future in jeopardy, but so is the future of everyone who worked at the firm and knew his secret.

"These back six are definitely Mike-focused, but it's also the thing that everybody’s having to rally behind," Adams teases. "It's not just Mike who is under threat but the entire firm. All these characters have to completely rally together against the sort of mountain of evidence that is going to present itself at trial."

How do you think Mike will get out of this one? Sound off in the comments below.
